Location: Dublin City; Pembroke Street, Tallaght, Rathfarnham, Terenure. Subject: Single page from the diary of Michael Healy, stained glass artist and founder of An Túr Gloine. Entry begins in Pembroke Street at 9.30am and Healy describes how he waxed the centre light and put some touches of paint on it as well as waxing the second light which had an angel’s dress plated. He also adds that he painted the lead lines on six pieces of tracery. Healy recalls that Miss Purser came into the workshop at about 2pm and left flowers, which were to be given to ‘Miss O’B.’ Healy recalls how A.E Child brought in photos of the Clongowes sketch, one of which he mounted after consulting with ‘Miss Purser’, and sent it to the editor of the Clongowes annual. He includes, that he showed it to ‘Cullen’ also. Healy writes how ‘Cullen’ had promised to call in the following Monday to see the Clongowes window before it was glazed. Healy recounts how he left Pembroke Street at 3pm and that his dinner was delayed because ‘Mrs.K’ had been to hospital, visiting, which delayed his dinner. He finishes the entry with how, after dinner, he went out on the bike to Tallaght and then towards home through Rathfarnham and Terenure. He concludes that it was near to 7pm when he got home and that the weather was beautiful all that day. People of Note: Miss O’B, Saran Purser, A.E Child, Cullen, ‘Mrs. K’ .
