Scanned drawing of stone axe/adze (ISAP 04228) from the National Museum of Ireland (NMI 1941:1081), from Lough Gur Co. Limerick. Description- Flaking from sides, narrow. Junction with edge, but damaged on left, also junction with butt. Edge is chipped along its length, sharp. Chipping mostly on right half. Blade area undefined, but blade longer more sloped on face 2. Scratches - all over, very fine, no pattern of striations. Core taken from face 2.Macro ID- Shale Micro ID- Shale Ib. Petrology- Black/grey fine grained hard metamud. Dimensions- 12.5 cm, 6.5 cm, 2.5 cm. 288g.
