At the request of Leitrim County Council CRDS Ltd. have undertaken a programme of archaeological excavations for the N4 Dromod Roosky Bypass. In total 25 potential archaeological sites were identified during centreline testing as part of the Advance Archaeological Investigation: N4 Dromod Roosky Bypass (conducted by CRDS Ltd. under licence 05E0983). This report refers to the reassessment of site A31-011 (Killinaker 2) located in Killinaker townland in the parish of Mohill and barony of Mohill, County Leitrim. Within the road scheme the site is located at chainage 6700 on the main N4 centreline. A reassessment was undertaken on 10th April 2006 by Matt Seaver and David J O’Connor as part of Ministerial Direction A31. Killinaker 2 was subsequently given the registration number E3299. The reassessment showed the site identified in testing as be the remains of modern field boundaries that had been removed and readjusted in the recent past. The site was therefore classed as non archaeological. No excavation subsequently took place at Killinaker 2. The excavations were carried out on behalf of Leitrim County Council and funded through the NRA under the NDP 2007-2013 and the EU Structural Fund. ll archaeological finds were stored in CRDS Ltd. offices before being
