Micro-ID - Dark grey, zoned, irregular streaked to mottled.. Petrology - Description - Sides - Both broad rounded. Junctions of sides with edge and with butt clear. Upper left side irregular due to a large, well ground out, remnant flake scar. Edge - Damaged adjacent to the junction with the left side by a large post-manufacture flake scar extending onto face 2 blade area. Remainder is smooth (unfinished or wear?), but with no chips. Blade area - Face 1 markedly symmetrical, regular, well ground and with a high level of polish. Face 2 damaged on the left side by a large flake scar, extending from the edge. Otherwise markedly symmetrical, regular, well ground and with a high level of polish. Faces - Both very regular, well ground and with a moderate to high level of polish. A few small remnant flake scars adjacent to the upper right side and butt. Butt Original, no damage. Core taken from the centre of face 1. Dimensions (length x width x thickness) - 13.5 cm, 5.5 cm, 2.8 cm, 304g.
