2835). Macro-ID - Porcellanite Petrology - Grey, coarse - very coarse blotchy banded mottled. Description - Sides - Both rounded. Junctions of sides with edge damaged on left, present on right. Rounded junctions with butt. Edge - Left portion of cutting edge has been removed by a long shallow flake, extending onto face 1 blade area - Surviving portions in the centre and on the right side are very sharp, with a few minor and medium sized chips. Blade area - face 1 damaged on the left side by a long shallow flake extending from the cutting edge. Junction survives on the right side. face 2 markedly flattened and clearly defined by junctions. Low to moderate level of polish. faces - face 1 has a prominent central ridge, which is relatively well ground and regular. The sides are irregular dur to numerous small and large, partially ground out, remnant flake scars. face 2 flattened from blade to butt. Both faces have a low to moderate level of polish. Butt - Partially ground only. Core taken from the centre of face 1. Dimensions (length x width x thickness) - 10.9 cm, 5.3 cm, 2.6 cm, 206g.
