Anthony spent his childhood in the suburban south-east. He describes the 1960s social scene in Dublin and backpacking around Europe. He rose to senior ranks in the civil service and describes role during period of Ireland's accession to the EEC [now the European Union]. Also discusses the impact of technology on work practices in the 1990s and 2000s. Rich detail on maintaining a work life balance. All names have been anonymised.
