Transcript of life history interview with 'Anne-Marie' from Cohort C (born 1965-1974) of the Life Histories and Social Change collection; Female, Roman Catholic, married and a mother. Raised in the Dublin region, she describes her father's experience of an industrial school and a foster home during the 1940s and 1950s. Anne-Marie discusses her journey through third level education and her following career, including redundancy and her negative experience of claiming social welfare. Following the birth of her third child she became a stay-at-home mother and describes the gender division of household labour in her home. Both she and her husband were devout Catholics in their youth. She also discusses the Irish language, and local politics. All names have been anonymised. Access to the transcript is through application to the Irish Qualitative Data Archive and is restricted to bona fide researchers and teachers, and to students that are currently registered at a third-level academic institution.
