The Digital Repository of Ireland End User Agreement.

RTÉ Archives are responsible for collecting, preserving and making accessible the creative and documentary output of the nation broadcaster, combining hundreds of thousands of hours of moving image, sound, photographic and document archives.

In 2013, RTÉ partnered with the Digital Repository of Ireland and the Insight Centre for Data analytics with the aim of building an innovative content discovery tool to enhance the search, discovery, re-purpose and exploitation of this rich audio-visual content.

As part of the project, a demonstrator collection has been created under the theme of ‘elections’ Selected material has been sourced from the radio, television and photographic collections of the RTÉ Archives. These digital objects are now discoverable alongside other Irish cultural and heritage institutions within the DRI repository.
