Letter from Charles Wyndham Wynne (1895 - 1917) to his mother Alice (1833 - 1928). Charles served as a captain in the Royal Garrison Artillery in the First World War. He was killed in action in June 1917.
This is a short note to his mother to tell her he has been transferred to Lenan Head Fort, Clonmany, Co. Donegal, and that the medical board passed him fit for home service.
He lets her know conditions are pleasant at his new quarters, but that he misses home in Wicklow.
