The Change Lab is a critical space for learning, thinking and re-imagining the possibilities of how art and design curricula at secondary-level can be taught through a development education lens. It is run in association with the Ubuntu Network, which supports the integration of development education into post primary education, and is funded by Irish Aid.
The output of this work is exhibited annually in NCAD, and is intended to showcase the pedagogical approaches and artefacts created by the Professional Master of Education teachers in response to that year's theme. Public audiences are welcome to visit both the exhibition and the preceding speaker event.
The work is made and presented from the situated practice of the artist, the educator, and the activist. This collection displays some of that work, including photo books and learning units created by the PME teachers themselves, teaching resources used in the course of week-long project, and documentation created in support of the event itself.
