Transcript of life history interview with 'Angela' from Cohort C (born 1965-1974) of the Life Histories and Social Change collection; Female, Roman Catholic, cohabiting and a mother. Angela describes the independence that she experienced growing up in a close-knit community in the Mid-West of Ireland, which included many of her own relatives. Angela has struggled to get adequate state support for her youngest child who has a disability and she discusses her disillusionment with public services as a consequence. All names have been anonymised. Access to the transcript is through application to the Irish Qualitative Data Archive and is restricted to bona fide researchers and teachers, and to students that are currently registered at a third-level academic institution.
