Cork University Foundation [CUF] is a charitable organization, through which funds raised by the activities of Alumni and Development at University College Cork [UCC] are donated to the university.

UCC Alumni and Development fosters partnerships of mutual benefit with individuals, trusts and foundations, and the corporate sector. These partnerships benefit excellence in teaching and research and a quality third and fourth level educational experience for students and offer opportunities to individuals and corporations to become involved in capital development and heritage projects as well as academic and research programmes.

This collection features the documentation of four grants given by The Atlantic Philanthropies to CUF between 1990 and 2006 totaling €90,357,424. The grants featured amount to €34,025,869 and were given in 1998, 1999, and 2001 for projects titled Biosciences Institute, Chair in Food and Health, UCC Library, and Nanoscience Project. The records presented in this collection typify as business records, reports, grant proposals, and printed ephemera.
