This volume presents a report on further aspects of the prehistoric Knowth settlement that had have been excavated between 1989 and 1997. These include evidence for Earlier and Later 'Western' Neolithic habitation, Passage Tomb settlement, Grooved Ware activity and Beaker settlement. This volume is vibrantly illustrated with site plans and detailed drawings of finds and photographs. There are extensive appendices on the petrological study of pottery, suggested reconstruction of the Grooved Ware structure, and seed and animal bone analyses.
