Transcript of life history interview with 'Marion' from Cohort C (born 1965-1974) of the Life Histories and Social Change collection; Female, Roman Catholic. Marion grew up on a large family farm in the south-east of Ireland which she shared with her siblings, parents, grandparents and her unmarried relatives. Marion describes an idyllic childhood, including her time at boarding school and this was followed by her teacher training at university. She describes her career progression as a teacher in a Catholic order of convent schools. She also discusses her father's involvement in the Irish Farmers Association. All names have been anonymised. Access to the transcript is through application to the Irish Qualitative Data Archive and is restricted to bona fide researchers and teachers, and to students that are currently registered at a third-level academic institution.
