Transcript of life history interview with 'Brian' from Cohort C (born 1965-1974) of the Life Histories and Social Change collection; Male, Roman Catholic, married and a father. Brian grew up in an urban area in the south-east of Ireland, and his family then moved to a rural area in the midlands. He describes spending idyllic childhood summers in the countryside on his maternal grandparents' farm. He also describes his father's career with a national transport company. His interview contains family stories from the World War 2 period and stories about Michael Collins. Brian also discusses his experience of third level education and his budding interest in computers in the 1980s. Brian is active in local community and neighbourhood committees, and discusses his experiences with anti-social behaviour in his locale. All names have been anonymised. Access to the transcript is through application to the Irish Qualitative Data Archive and is restricted to bona fide researchers and teachers, and to students that are currently registered at a third-level academic institution.
