Transcript of life history interview with 'Kevin' from Cohort C (born 1965-1974) of the Life Histories and Social Change collection; Male, Roman Catholic, married and a father. Kevin spent his early life in a suburban Dublin region, before the family moved to a farm in the south-east of Ireland. He discusses attitudes to pregnancy outside of marriage in the early 1980s. He also compares differences in the experience of applying for a mortgage between the early 1990s and the 2000s. Kevin describes working in local service planning in the county council and the impact of technology on this area. Other areas discussed include growing secularisation and the decline of Catholicism in Ireland; the Irish Civil War; the growth of technology in the workplace, local politics and the GAA. All names have been anonymised. Access to the transcript is through application to the Irish Qualitative Data Archive and is restricted to bona fide researchers and teachers, and to students that are currently registered at a third-level academic institution.
