The evaluation framework document provides guidance on appropriate ways of documenting the impacts of the Artist in Residency programme, whether through small scale project evaluations or large scale research studies. It suggests a standard framework for reporting on project activities that will help strengthen understanding of what works in specific contexts. This will enable a realistic assessment and allow for appropriate comparisons to be made between programmes.
Purpose of the Residency:
To facilitate Róisín de Buitléar to spend time with the collections and to engage with audiences on a programme of events/projects drawing inspiration from the exhibition ‘Caution! Fragile Tradition in Transition’ and from the collections covering the Museum’s four sites.
The National Museum of Ireland aims to consider what the role of an artists residency might be in relation to Museum engagement and learning; specifically to better understand how visual culture makes a difference to people’s day to day lives and influences their experience within a cultural institution.
