Petrology - Dark grey parallel laminated fine grained shale. Description - Sides - Flattened. Left broader than right. Right centre and towards butt irregular due to remnant flake scars, left centre only. Junctions of sides with edge and with butt clear. Edge - Minor chipping entire length, concentrated in centre and left side, both faces. One to two med. sized chips centre, both faces. Still very sharp. Slightly C-shaped in profile. Blade Area - Mod. degree of polish. Single med. sized remnant flake scar, Face 2 left side. Faces - Both flattened along centre. Irregular adjacent to both sides Face 1, and right side only Face 2 (due to numerous small to med. sized remnant flake scars). Single large shallow remnant flake scar adjacent to right side, Face 2 upper portion. Butt - Original, no damage. Sloped in plan and profile. Slopes from Face 2 to Face 1 in profile. No distinct striae. Core taken from the centre of Face 1. Dimensions (length x width x thickness) - 14.1 cm, 7.5 cm, 2.3 cm, 340g.
