Petrology - Fine green banded tuff, Group VI, facetted large axe. Description - Sides - Narrow flattened. Junctions of sides with edge present. Edge - Worn. Damaged in centre and adjacent to both sides by heavy chipping extending onto blade area Face 1. Blade Area - Medium sized flake scars extend from edge Face 1 centre and right side. Single large flake on Face 1 left side. Moderate level of polish. Faces - Very regular. Moderate level of polish. Slightly irregular break across the upper portion of the axe, perpendicular to the long axis of the axe. Distinct area of long parallel striae Face 1 centre right. Group VI. Fine specimen. Dimensions (length x width x thickness) - 28.3 cm, 8.1 cm, 5.1 cm, 1968g.
