Photograph of the left side of stone axe (ISAP 10841) from the Ulster Museum (UM 1955:197), from Aghadowey Co. Derry. Description- Sides: both rounded broad, right slightly flattened, left side splays more markedly within 1.5 cm of edge, junctions of sides and edge damaged, junctions with butt unknown, narrow band of post-manufacture pecking on both sides, 1 to 2 cm above the damaged junction of sides and edge. Edge: badly worn and blunted, heavily chipped at both sides. Blade area and faces: Face 1 weathered/less polished at centre, Face 2 retains finer polish, Face 1 left side pecking (damage?) extends slightly inwards above blade area, otherwise smooth regular appearance. Butt: missing, rough dished break across long axis. Core taken from upper portion of Face 1. No striae. E.B.Macro ID- Porcellanite Micro ID- Porcellanite Ic.
