Archive of scanned documents from the HSE World Within Walls oral history collection, which relates the histories and memories of the St. Davnet’s Campus psychiatric hospital in Monaghan town. These scanned documents were collected during the course of the World Within Walls project from the archive on site at the hospital. The National Archives of Ireland has agreed to accession the full manuscript and printed archives of the St. Davnet's Campus, while a collection of scanned items have been made available through the DRI alongside other items from the project.
The HSE World Within Walls collection aims to remember St. Davnet's history and its evolution from District Asylum in 1869, to psychiatric hospital and to its present role as a modern community mental health services campus. The full collection of interviews, images and scanned documents is archived at the Irish Qualitative Data Archive.
