- Ownership and copyright information for the digital objects are stated explicitly in the Rights statement of each metadata record.
- You agree to use the digital objects only in accordance with this End User Agreement. You agree to notify the Digital Repository of Ireland of any breach of its terms or of any infringements of the digital objects of which you become aware as quickly as possible.
- You will abide by the appropriate copyright and licence statements applied to digital object and metadata.
- You will ensure that means of access to data are kept secure and used only for appropriate purposes. In particular, passwords are personal and should not be shared.
- Whenever you use a digital object you should, where possible, use the bibliographic citation recommended by the Repository, or an equivalent.
- Use of the data on this web site is at your sole risk. You agree not to use this site for any illegal or unlawful purpose. - This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland and each Party irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland over any claim or matter arising under or in connection with this Agreement.

Archaeological involvement in the realignment of an 8 km section of the N25, the main Cork to Waterford road, at Kilmacthomas village commenced in 1997 with a walkover study of the proposed route (Tierney 1997). This study identified the known archaeological heritage of the proposed route and suggested a number of areas with a high potential for producing more archaeological remains. Initial test excavations were carried out in November/December 1998 and centre line testing and monitoring were carried out between November 1999 and January 2000. The sites excavated under licence number 98E0575 include Neolithic settlement remains, Beaker settlement remains, 3 burnt mounds, an Early Bronze Age structure, other prehistoric structural evidence, and various isolated features, and medieval and later medieval ditches, charcoal pits, metalworking areas, a corn drying kiln, and other structural remains. This is the third and final report to be submitted for the excavation works at Ahanaglogh and west Graigueshoneen. NOTE: THE GRID REFERENCES PROVIDED IN THE METADATA REPRESENT A POINT IN THE MID SECTION OF THE SITES.
