This Aran jumper was given to the National Museum by Ruairí Ó Síocháin, the son of entrepreneur Pádraig Ó Síocháin. Through his company, Galway Bay Products, he gave the knitters a ready outlet for their product in the 1950s and 1960s and built up a customer base in Europe
