The survey extended to the north-west and south-east of the CPO for the M8 / N8 Cullahill – Cashel Road Improvement Scheme, from side chainage 520 – 1120. This survey was commissioned by Valerie J. Keeley Ltd. on behalf of Kilkenny County Council, following excavation of extensive remains at adjacent Sites AR31, AR32 & AR33 within this section of the scheme. This survey follows earlier works undertaken in connection with the scheme by Target Archaeological Geophysics (Nicholls, 2004, Detection Licence 04R175, TAG 04002), archaeological test trenching by Margaret Gowen & Company Ltd. (Margaret Gowen & Company Ltd, 2004), excavation by Valerie J.
