Former Fianna Fáil Taoiseach Albert Reynolds, in a photographic studio in Leinster House, Dublin in May 1983. This still was taken for use in RTÉ News bulletins.
Albert Reynolds was first elected to the Dáil for the constituency of Longford-Roscommon in 1977. He held ministerial positions in various departments including Finance (1988-91) and became Taoiseach in 1992, a position he held until his resignation in 1994. He unsuccessfully contested the Fianna Fáil presidential nomination in 1997. Reynolds did not run in the 2002 general election.
